It really began with scrapbooking! I never realized I was creative until  my boyfriend, now husband, said “You need a hobby.” At that time in my life, I was a single mom who worked two jobs and when I was off all I did was cook, clean and spend time with my kids.

I started creating scrapbooks and making handmade cards. For fun events at the time my husband and I would attend festivals where hand made soap was sold. I told my husband I want to learn how to make this. And that’s where I got the itch to learn. It started out with melt and pour soaps. I loved how I could create with colors, fragrances,  and textures. From there I began studying cold process soap. I tried different ingredients, experimenting on bubbles, cleansing, and overall benefits of each recipe. I also developed wonderful all natural body butter and lotion bars for dry itchy skin. Now I have a soap recipe I love and products that keep my customers coming back. In 2020 I named my soap business officially Emberlyn Naturals after my three grandkids at the time Ember, MadeLYN and NAThan.
